Offering Santhanagopalam Kathakali in temples dedicated to Lord Krishna is a way of celebrating devotion and seeking blessings for children and immortality. The play highlights the importance of deep devotion to God and shows that even mighty heroes are helpless without divine grace. By staging this play, devotees express their piety, seeking to gain the "wealth of children" through the deity's blessing, as the final scene of the play restores all ten children to the Brahmin, symbolizing the fulfillment of prayers for progeny and eternal well-being.
